Live Jazz - Performance- Tradition with a Twist

The 5 Points Nutcracker weaves a fresh twist on a holiday classic, celebrating the cultural richness of 5 Points Denver, often dubbed as "The Harlem of the West".

Larea Edwards(The Flobots and Deep Pocket Thieves)  transforms classic Nutcracker characters, drawing parallels to local 5 Points  legends, presenting a heartwarming Christmas narrative deeply rooted in the African-American experience.

Tenia Nelson, a Grammy-nominated jazz maestro, infuses the performance with her unique musical interpretation of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorns’ 1960 score, adding a touch of improvisational magic.

Denver's dance sensations, Reyna Muerta, Chopz, Kayla Banks, and Vi Bright, join  LuneAseas to showcase an eclectic blend of swing, break, and contemporary dance, all viewed through the Jazz Era's prism.

Prepare to be enthralled by dazzling visuals, ingenious props, and a vibrant interactive setting.

This enchanting experience is graciously supported by the City of Denver EDI Grant and Music Advancement Fund.

Join us for a night to remember, December 22nd and 23rd at 7pm at the Savoy Denver, 2700 Arapahoe st. Denver. To reserve your party for this experience visit click the ticket link above.
